ways teenagers use spreadsheet

Spreadsheets are used by many businesses but they aren't the only ones! Spreadsheets also pertain to many other people but the one group of people that many people wouldn't  think use spreadsheets are teenagers, but in reality teenagers use spreadsheets all the time.  Teenagers use spreadsheets in various occasions, one being a time where they have to do a spreadsheet project for school. Another occasion is when they create a spreadsheet to figure out how much money they made in the last month from their part time job. Teenagers also use spreadsheets to do personal things like when they make one to figure out how man people don't like chocolate ice cream and how many people don't.

Cyber bullying advice

If one of my friends were to ask me for advice on how to deal with a cyber bully i would simply tell them to ignore the person that is bullying them. whenever you're getting cyber bullied all you have to do is block the person or cut your computer off. if they some how find a way to still cyber bully you take it to an adult. If none of that works report them to the police.

are we to dependent on technology?

Yes we are to dependent on technology, especially in the field of communicating, so yes i do agree. schools are becoming more and more dependent on technology, most of the students work is done virtually so they don't even know what a text-book and a pen feel like anymore. technology is ruining everyone's social skills because you don't have to talk face to face over the internet so it's easier to communicate so when it comes time to actually meet in person you don't know what to do. Safety of our personal information on the internet

In the article that i found, they talk about how nothing on the internet is safe from hackers and thieves. Hackers can use a simple computer to hack anyones bank accounts or any other account. A virus that took down a whole nuclear power plant in Iran recently escaped onto the internet and infected over 100,000 computers and this just means that our power grids, transportation and water distribution systems are at risk to be hacked. Reading over this article and seeing all the recent hackings makes me believe that instead of advancing in technology I think we should go back to the original methods of things where they were harder to get stolen. everyone who uses a computer is at risk of getting everything they have on the internet taken from them and i think that, that is just to
much of a risk to take.

should the internet be regulated?

I for one do believe that the internet should be regulated. There are more predators out there than people think and all these predators want is to find out where you live and hurt you. if the internet were regulated we would be able to find more of these predators and be able to get them off the internet so they won't be able to hurt anyone else. But even if we do regulate the internet we wont be able to catch every single person that is doing wrong so we need to teach everyone about computer safety and what not to do on the internet like give out personal information, don't talk to strangers,and stay off of bad websites.

My name is Andrew Thornhill and this is my first year at k-12. I don't know much about computers but i would say i know more than the average 14 year old should. I've been dealing with computers since i was two years old when i got my first Playstation 2 and i learned how to use my families Desktop computer.
